The three-month local London Cab campaign targeted in and around the Cape Town area coincides with the visit of Rotary International President, Ray Klinginsmith as well as with the birthday of the international organisation on 23rd February which will be recognised by the landmark lighting of the Cape Town Stadium. The cabs will also feature in other Rotary projects, such as The Proms and the Pick n’ Pay/ Argus Cycle Tour.
Comments Rotary District 9350 PR Committee Spokesperson, Richard Parsons, “Rotary’s global campaign to rid the world of polio forms part of our broader ‘Humanity in Motion’ charity focus. The branded London Cabs created the perfect opportunity for us to drive home this message of ‘Humanity in Motion’ whilst at the same time drawing attention to our polio-prevention campaign.”
Graffiti Director Natalie Cloete adds, “The Rotary Campaign illustrates how London Cabs can not only serve to create awareness and effectively advertise a product or service, but can also be used to place the focus upon charity and humanitarian projects. And as a result we will hopefully see an increase in the commitment and participation of those people wishing to assist Rotary in its efforts.”
Ends Parsons, “The vehicles have proven to be an exceptionally versatile medium. Not only have they served to generate interest and awareness around this specific volunteer project whilst on the roads of Cape Town, but one of the cabs has also provided the personal transportation for our Rotary International President during his Cape Town visit. And to add to this, one of the cabs was on show as part of our Rotary International display at the V & A Pavilion and elicited a great deal of interest and many photo opportunities for delegates.”
