Footwear Trading gets into step with new Graffiti Taxi Top

As part of its latest summer advertising campaign, well-known local footwear distributor, Footwear Trading, has recently taken its leading footwear brands on the road. The brand-new campaign features the trendiest new Levi’s and Diesel ranges atop 35 metered taxi vehicles spread throughout Durban and Cape Town.

Implemented by vehicle branding experts, Graffiti Taxi Tops, the bold campaign forms part of Footwear Tradings larger national campaign which incorporates both above- and below-the-line elements including print, outdoor and shopping mall advertising. Fifteen taxi tops will feature the latest Levi’s footwear in Durban and a further 20 taxi tops will showcase the new Diesel range in Cape Town. Whilst the Levi’s and Diesel brands are each top-sellers in the particular coastal city in which they will be advertised, the taxi top advertising is also aimed attracting the interest of the huge influx of visitors that head to the coast over the festive season.

Comments Footwear Trading, Group Marketing Manager, Chantel Steenekamp, “The decision to go with taxi tops made sense for us at this time of year, as traditionally summer has delivered the largest sales volumes for us. Obviously we are aware that people are looking to spend money at this time and we hope to capture their attention with our brands in particular.”

The Footwear Trading taxi top campaign is further reinforced by in-mall advertising on the escalators within strategically selected shopping malls. Steenekamp explains, “Not only will customers see the branding on the taxi tops that drive to- and from the malls but, once inside the mall, they will again be reminded of advertising message.”

Taxi Top advertising is currently available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. For further information on Graffiti’s Taxi Top advertising contact Dean Rakusin on 082 497 2332 and dean@graffiti.co.za or Kyle Metz on 082 824 8650 and kylem@graffiti.co.za.
